    Gluten Free Chewing Gum List

Did you know that some gums actually contain gluten?

    Crazy, right?

If you’re on a gluten free diet, then you need to chew gluten free gum. Yeah, you don’t necessarily swallow the gum like you would any other “foods” (or candies) but gum and it’s flavoring can still give you a reaction if it’s not gluten free.

Thankfully, you’re in luck because many gum companies and manufacturers actually create gluten free gum. And best part of all, most of them are already naturally gluten free.

Gluten Free Gum List – Ultimate Guide

Here’s the U.S. gluten free gum list that’s separated and categorized by gum manufacturer. You can also click on each gum manufacturers name to be taken to their official website.

So with that being said, here’s the gluten free chewing gum list!

    Wrigley

    • 5-Gum
    • Big Red
    • Doublemint
    • Eclipse
    • Extra
    • Freedent
    • Hubba Bubba (don’t get the tape roll gum which contains gluten and wheat)
    • Juicy Fruit
    • Orbit
    • Spearmint
    • Winterfresh

    Trident

    • Trident
    • Trident Layers
    • Vitality
    • Xtra Care
    • Trident White
    • Splash

    Gums to AVOID

Although it is my goal to make this listing only show all the gums that you can eat, there are a few gum brands that you absolutely must avoid because they contain gluten.

Here are some of the gums you SHOULD AVOID.

    Bubble Yum

    Fruit Stripe

    Super Bubble

    Bubbaloo

    Bubbilicious

    Chiclets

    Dentyne

    Nostalgia Gum

    Stride

    …

Looking for a gluten free shopping list?

We got you covered in this awesome complete guide!

    …

Hopefully you enjoyed this listing of all gluten free gums and bubble gums.

Be sure to share this list on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest!

    Cheers.

Chappies bubblegum is not gluten free evidence:

Our sugared gum products contain glucose syrup, which uses wheat as a source material. Having said that, It has been thoroughly processed and only minute amounts of gluten may remain. Eclipse Chewy mints contain Wheat glucose with detectable gluten so are therefore not considered gluten free.

Are there gluten free nuts and seed brands? Also what about yogurt?

Gerbs is wonderful for seeds, granola and dry fruit. They are NON-GMO, vegan and top ten allergen-free. Excellent flavor and quality. Can’t help with the yogurt–I’m looking for that too.

Hi there – I have a small candy shop in a small town, and a lot of my customers have gluten restrictions so I’ve done some homework on products to recommend. A few more to add to your list:

Dubble Bubble – the original bubblegum is gluten free, and all Dubble Bubble products. In fact the entire product line at Tootsie.com is gluten free, an awesome commitment by a large company, everything from chewing gum to lollipops, chocolate covered cherries, and so much more.

http://www.gleegum.com – Great small company producing high quality products.

      Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for this list. I knew some gum did contain gluten but was unaware that my favorite gum Dentyne Fire had it. Although it does not specify gluten I wondered about the “natural and artificial flavors” because something was causing a mild reaction. Like “modified food starch” you sometimes have to learn the hard way about their ambiguous labeling. Keep up the good work!

I had been searching for a gluten-free gum, but was avoiding it because I could not find information. Thank you, thank you!

Barb asked about toothpaste. I would be interested in that info also.

Oh my gosh! I used to love chiclets gum when I was a little kid! Later, I used to get all of that bubble gum. (weeping) What kind of maniacs put wheat in gum?

I am confused by your information the Stride package labeling for allergens only says contains Soy. So is your information correct and they are not following proper labeling laws?

You forgot to mention that sugar-free gums can cause problems also because of the xylitol, malitol, and sorbital. This combination can create symptoms similar to a gluten ingestion. Sorbital, I believe, is a baby laxative. A doctor at a celiac conference told us about it. A woman in my support group had a husband who was constantly having “GLUTEN SYMPTOMS” even tho he was very strict with his diet. She told him about the gum and he stopped using the sugar-free gum and the symptoms disappeared very quickly. Good piece of info!

Great reminder. Gluten can be in everything. You might not swallow the gum but you swallow the flavor.

If you react to gum but think its gluten free check all ingredients and reactions against other foods with the same ingredients. For me aspartame and phenylketronuric and other sweetners make me jumpy, nauseous, icky in gum and diet drinks and other sweet foods and that was years before gluten intolerance.

Thanks! Have you ever checked toothpaste? I find Arm & Hammer works best for me. A lot of them burn my gums so I checked and some do have gluten.

After getting my braces off I couldnt wait to have me some gum. I started with Trident but was having gluten symtoms from it. Went to Wrigleys problems went away. Not sure why I was having problems with the Trident but I am sure it was the Trident.

I recently read an article that states aspartame although gluten free frequently reacts like gluten to most celiacs. It was in an article on yahoo. Agree with xomment posted by Tammy.
